Ana de la Torre
The Academy of Perforrming Arts has had the proud pleasure of seeing Ana grow from aspiring dancer on scholarship to one of the most poplular teachers on staff. Her exceptional teaching skills have taken her to a variety of institutions including: California Ballet, City Ballet's Summer Intensive (which have included Gelsey Kirkland and David Howard), San Diego Civic Youth Ballet, & is currently the Head of the Children's Creative and Performing Arts Academy-Dance Department.
In addition to her teaching credits, she has performed in multibple musical theatre productions including a special performance of the National Tour, "CelticFusion". She has also worked with various dance companies including Vitality & Fusion Force. Other performance credits include the opening of the film Pirates of the Caribbean II, starring Jonny Depp, Comic Con 2007, and was a Featured Cheerleader for an Allstate Commercial.
Other performances have included events at: Copley Symphony Hall, Joan Kroc Centre, North Park Theatre, Pacific Cinemas, San Diego
Convention Center, North County Repertory Theater & numerous industrials and special events,
While most within the dance community view this talent as simply a dancer. However; APA sees other talents waiting to shine from Miss De La Torre (for instance her Acting and Singing) In fact, most recently, she participated in the Screen Actors Guild Conservatory along side Film and Television Personalities.
