John Henry Reid - Contemporary Dance



CITY BALLET OF SAN DIEGO company member: John Henry Reid, was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He trained at the Houston Ballet Academy and after graduating he joined Texas Ballet Theater in Fort Worth, Texas. He has danced with other companies including Cincinnati Ballet, Colorado Ballet, and most recently Complexions Contemporary Ballet in New York. He has performed leading roles in Coppelia, The Nutcracker, Michael Pink's Hunchback of Notre Dame, Giselle, and many others. John Henry has performed in many theaters around the world and worked with some world renowned choreographers and artists. The most defining moment in his career was performing the title roles in Michael Pink's Dracula and Ben Stevenson's Peer Gynt. This is John Henry's first season with City Ballet of San Diego.
