Mikeal Villela began dancing as member of his high school dance program. Being natrually drawn to movement as a form of expression, Mikeal seeked formal training at Neisha's Dance Academy where he is now a faculty member. Since 2004, he has been a member of San Diego's leading contemporary jazz dance company, Unity Dance Ensemble. Rising from the rank of ensemble dancer, to lead soloist, and finally to contributing choreographer, Mikeal continues to grow as a dancer but more importantly, an artist. Professionally, he has been represented by BLOC Talent Agency and been featured in the "We Sparkle" Celebrity Cancer Benefit, industrials, and music videos for artists such as Maroon 5. " Dance is such an amazing art form. The raw performance and beauty of movement speak deeply to me. If I can give back to the dance community only a fraction of what it has gifted me, I'd consider it a success.
