Saso, a native of El Paso, Texas, has been bboying since the age of 11. His desire to venture off to San Diego came at the age of 18 (2001) for his love of the hip hop culture that San Diego embraced. Now making San Diego his hometown, he has been active in the hip hop and dance community. He was introduced to Rock So Fresh and is still representing them since 2002. He continued to grow and learn dance through different mediums and joined Culture Shock San Diego in 2003 and also Jabbawockeez in 2004 where he learned the art of hip hop choreography. With all his talents he has worked with many artists, including Missy Elliot, Swiss Beats, Daddy Yankee, Shaquille O’Neal, and New Kids on the Block to name a few. Being true to his roots of b-boying, he has traveled around the world teaching about the history, styles and techniques of b-boying/b-girling (breaking). He has won many competitions and the most recent one was 2nd place in the footwork battle at World of Dance 2009. He continues to teach and motivate people that surround him; dancers or not.
